I bought a toshiba satellite a305 laptop from a pawnshop and it's asking for a HDD user password. Is there anyway to bypass this?

Unfortunately, due to the rules, we are not able to help bypass any kind of password as we can never guarantee how a user got the device in question.

Take it back to the pawnshop you purchased it from. If you're lucky, it's just a matter of them forgetting to give you the password. If not, you're SOL. As nukemaster states, it's against the forum rules to discuss bypassing security protocols, regardless of the situation.

Try and get a refund because the pawnshop basically sold you a non-functioning product.

The next time you buy a used laptop, make sure when you turn it on you can get into Windows, otherwise you would have simply just bought a technologically advanced brick.
