Toshiba laptop/battery performance

A Dvd got stuck in the drive of my Toshiba laptop. it's 10 months old..is there any way that can effect the circuitry that charges the battery.

I can still use DVDs and CDs inb the drive and non problems with mylaptop apart from my battery not charging as it should

Hi, the DVD drive is a closed device, that means the DVD won't affect anything inside the laptop. The charging of the battery is another problem, it has nothing to do with the DVD drive.
