Toshiba Laptop Black Screen!!!

I accidentally stepped on my Toshiba Satellite P55t - A5116 Laptop and made a very minor dent on the outside. When i turn the laptop on it goes to the usual "Toshiba, Leading Innovation" screen, but then goes black. It will stay like this all day until it runs out of battery. This is a touch screen so where the indentation is on the front, there is a small warped circle on the screen (hardly noticeable). However, If you move the mouse around, you can still see the arrow? Would a small dent cause entire black screen? And how can i fix this at home without a professional?

You probably damaged the screen by stepping on it. It might need to get the panel changed which is not possible at home.
