Toshiba laptop screen problem

Hello,
My laptop screen is darker on the botton half and shows a couple of thin white lines. It works fine hooked to my monitor. If I flex the top corners of the screen, the problem goes away. Once you release the corners the problem comes back.

What is wrong?

Look on ebay - get a replacement LCD and put it in yourself - video available. BTW stop picking it up by the screen.;-)
