Toshiba satelite l655d hard drive boot disk

Hello,
I have a toshiba satellite L655D and it is not seeing the hard drive. It is telling me to insert a boot disk.

Now when you say does not see, do you have a detailed Post screen or the express Logo screen ? Switch those and see if your drive is listed in the Post Details. If not go back in the bios and use <detect drives>. On boot you can also press F12 for a choice of boot drives, see if it's on that list.

It is not showing it in bios or the post screen. It only see the cd rom. It keeps giving me a message to check my cord connection
