Toshiba satellite a200 hard drive specification

What sort of hard drive is it?

i know is 2.5 sata?

and it has 5200rpm

So if I wanted to update the HDD what specification do I look at?

Yes..anything from 80 gb tp 1000 gb...BUT big laptop drives cost a Fortune....

It might depend on the A200 model.
Where I'm working, we have a few different A200 models and we change the hard drive very often. We use any 2.5 sata hard drive, toshiba, seagate, western digital, etc. 5400rpm or 7200rpm.

Any make is fine....personally I wouldnt touch a MAXTOR with a barge pole but any other is good...

Actually no it isnt...

Seagate BOUGHT Maxtor...but Maxtor had such a bad reputation in the trade that they kept the factories seperate due to quality control issues...

My computer companies buy LOTS of hard drives... for both Laptops and Pcs..but NEVER a Maxtor....NOT EVER....

But we buy Seagates quite happily...

We do see a LOT of crashed Maxtor drives in customers machines though...lol

We're using WD Black 320Gb at work for now, no problems.

We're replacing the ones that came with the laptop.

We woulndt buy from Ebay lol...we are trade so use trade suppliers....

For retail if you are in the Uk...EBUYER.CO.UK is pretty good...
