Question Toshiba Satellite L300 hdd to ssd

I have a Toshiba Satellite L300, I want to change the Hdd to ssd to lower the power usage and have more storage ( plus it will make the system faster) How big of a SSD can my laptop handle ???

As big as your pocket. A Terrabyte if you want that much space. They're all the physical sizes are the same however much they can contain.
