Toshiba satellite L850 wireless problem.

I recently replaced the screen in my sisters laptop as it got damaged in the car and for some unknown reason the laptop will only connect to wireless in the same room as our router(my room) before i replaced the screen it would work anywhere else in the house(I had it plugged in with a hdmi cord at the other end of the house). Anyone have any tips or anyway i can fix it? (also its not the router my phone works fine anywhere in the house also on wifi)

The problem could be the wires for the antennas. Take out the bezel around the screen, look to see if the wires are at the right place.

Its possible I may have damaged the wire. Is it very difficult to fix?

My wife's Toshiba Satellite Pro L850-1UK has on two occasions lost the Wifi connection despite the F12 function key indicating that it is enabled. I first confirmed my router and broadband were ok by inserting a CAT5 cable connecting PC directly to router using the cable - this worked fine.
I then powered down the laptop, removed the power cable and battery. Whilst battery removed, hold the power ON button down for say 15 seconds then release. Replace battery and switch laptop back on, hopefully with Wifi restored.
