Toshiba satellite second drive upgrade

I need to copy files from a dead Toshiba to my new Toshiba. Any help appreciated.

You can take out the hard drive from your dead laptop and plug it in your new laptop as a second hard drive (as long as your laptop supports dual drives) and then access the drive 2 files while being booted on drive 1 operating system.

You might need to get a 2.5" external USB adapter so you can attach your HDD to another computer.
Example: Rosewill 2.5" HDD SATA to USB 2.0 External Adapter $15

Worked like a charm. Love that it doesn't need an external power source. Cheap and easy. Thanks.
