Toshiba satellite upgrades

I'm planning on going on a trip soon so i thought i would be the perfect time to upgrade my molasses slow satellite l755 s5038, i am planning on replacing the i5-2340m with an i7-2820QM and i was wondering if anyone had done something similar and if this is even possible.

You are better off installing an SSD if the system does not have one already and putting in more RAM if you have less than 8 GB than trying to swap the CPU.

Don't see any versions of that laptop with an i7 CPU https/www.notebookcheck.net/Toshiba-Satellite-L755-Series.56767.0.html
