TIA.. How do you pick out the bootup icons on the startup screen ? Sometimes
I need to pick a different way and forgot how this Is done.

Arrow keys according to the manual, but I'm not fast enough...

Try holding the F12 key down while you are booting--- this should put an
indication under the icons that you can then choose how to boot.

Are you talking about the keys needed to select a different drive to boot
off of? That would be the F2 key (on my Satellite 4200). To enter the BIOS
setup screen you need to use the ESC key.

It's F12 on newer models for boot device.
