toshiba touchpad will not move coursor

I have a toshiba laptop with a 17" screen. The touch pad quit working and nothing will move the coursor. Is this just a driver problem or another cause?

could be driver or actual failure. did you try booting into safe mode? keyboard still works right?

If you haven't made any software changes, it's most likely a physical failure. My suggestion: Get a cheap Logitech wireless mouse and use that.

Use a usb mouse and try running the program slim drivers. Hopefully then the track pad will work again..
