Toshiba Windows 8 laptop won't stopped letting me use wireless wifi!

When I click on the internet icon on the bottom right corner it pulls up the usually setting but the wifi slider won't let me move it... This happened a few days ago and it just randomly stopped working one night after listening to YouTube music

is the wifi enabled on the laptop?

Is airplane mode enabled? Maybe that's the cause. If that doesn't work, is your computer in a humid environment? My laptop and iPad has problems when an old fashioned cooler was near them, I shifted the laptop to a room with an air conditioner on and restarted the computer, it fixed.
