Toshiba won't turn on

Toshiba has a orange light and sometimes white it won't turn on I've already took battery out and plug held down power button and put back together and nothing it was working until my kid took the battery out.

Did he take the battery out when it was on or asleep?

The operating system could have been corrupted if it wasn't turned completely off and in that case, you would have to reinstall the operating system.

It was off but the plug was still in

The only other thing that I can think of is something internally got damaged or the bios got messed up.

Did the battery get wet?
If not , try cleaning the contact points on the battery and laptop and reinstall it.

There could be a fix and it could be costly so if it is an old laptop then I would get a new one anyway.

No it didn't I give up I'm just gonna take it in to a technician down the street because I don't have time to fix it my self I need to get back to my school work but thanks everyone for trying.
