Hello comunity,

Recently i have bought Lenovo Z51-70. And i have noticed two dots on screen. They appears when i slightly shake my laptop or I when i press plastic around screen , it look like someone pressed screen on that places. They appear for few seconds and then stop and its all normal its only happening when i'm moving laptop. They are not dead pixels. I have feel that screen is pressing pixels. So I'm wondering what could cause such thing? And what consequences can it make ? Could it damage display more?

And display is not touch display.

Here is video:

Best wishes, thank you.

That right there is pressure spots (not dots), and by the positioning of them, it's likely a design flaw rather than a specific QC failure for your device. Try to test out a same-model display at best buy or another store, if that display also shows the same issue you'll either have to live with it or return it.
They are dead pixels, face it. If the two are closer than 1 in, most manufacturers will replace the panel free of charge. Some like Dell offer better service, but you'll need to check your manufacturer's site for policies. If you bought it within 30days in the US, return it as defective.

I will try explain it.
You know when u touch screen with finger, the color is splashing under screen. The same thing is happening without touching screen only with little shaking.

I will try to post video.

jarotech, thank you for reply, i was also thinking 'bout that, but i still dont want to open cover cause of waranty. Do you have any idea, can this damage my display further or cause something like dead pixels??

Maybe in the long run, you could damage the screen, this is not normal. But I have an Asus with a similar problem, the problem is broader as a wave of half an inch when I push on both sides (right and left) of the screen in the opposite direction. I use this laptop when I travel for 2 years now, and I have had no problems with the screen.

Thank you for answer, that is experience that i was looking for (y).

So, this should not damage my screen further ? I cant live with it, it's a little bit annoying but i can handle it. My fear is what will happen if i leave it as it is..would it damage screen in future?

Over time there might be discoloration, but usually not that much. Again, check other computers of the same model to see if it's a design or QC issue.
