Question Touchscreen not very responsive when phone is on flat surface.

Phone is Nokia 6.1

Touchscreen works fine when I'm holding the phone. But its not very responsive when its lying on a flat surface, like a wooden table. Putting my fingers behind the phone makes it responsive again. Is this a capacitive touchscreen issue? Because my old Galaxy s4 didn't have this problem.

Also I'm using a tempered glass screen protector.

Sounds like your screen protector is part of the problem to me. Have you tried it without it?

If it was the whole display it would not work when put down either.

Sorry for the late reply. Yeah removed it now and its a lot more responsive.
