Transfer data from desktop to laptop

Hi, i bought a laptop to replace my desktop pc, but i need to transfer the data from the desktop to the laptop. How can i do this? The laptop comes with a Usb C port, would that work? I don't have an external drive btw.

OK.
Games won't work.
Music/Pics/Docs, sure.

A large enough USB stick, and copy/paste.
Or, assuming they can both be connected tot he same router, shared folders.
Or DropBox, OneDrive, or similar cloud spaces.

What "data", specifically, are you looking at trying to transfer?

Games, music, pictures, documents, etc.

Yeah that's why i was looking for another way, because of the games :/

well, for Steam games, you can maybe/probably transfer the whole SteamApps folder.
The tell the new Steam client in the desktop where that folder is.
Other than that...reinstall on the new system.
