Transfering text messages from phone to laptop

how do i move my text messages from my samsung sch-r451c to my laptop computer?

does it have a usb mini port? if so you can connect to the pc with a cable (camera cables work!)

as for software for being able to read your phone...

try "bitpim" it is free, supports quite alot of phones, and should be able to accomplish what you want. it takes a little bit to figure out how to use the software but once you do its all good.
