transferring data to a new laptop

my laptop screen is all different colours I have purchased another laptop and need to transfer data over.

if your not going to use your old laptop. I think transfering the same hardisks on another laptop will be the easiest. but you need to clean and reinstall drivers of the new laptop. but if you really insist on transfering data laptop to laptop, I can suggest you using portable drives, or flash drives. if you dont have the money on buying such materials, you can use ad-hoc network sharing in windows 7 to transfer files. but copying speed may be slow.
