Transferring info from 1 laptop to another

Is it possible to transfer files from one laptop to another or onto a memory stick if the screen is broken on one of the laptops?

Hi,

My suggestion is to 1. just take the HDD off the other laptop and use it an external HDD using an enclosure or you can also just use it as a slave drive if you have an extra external SATA port and 2. connect an external monitor into the laptop that has a broken screen to you could just select the files that you would like to transfer using a USB drive.
