I have a trial program that I downloaded and installed to evaluate. The
problem is I installed it before the holidays to evaluate but never actually
got the chance to try it. The trial period ended and I can launch it
anymore. I Uninstalled the program and tried to reinstall so I can test it
but the trial period still remains the same. Any suggestions?

Thanks,
Jasper

Jasper,

There is likely a buried registry key or two for the trial period that are
preventing you from reinstalling it.

If you have a full backup that predates your install and you are willing
to restore back to that state, you would probably be able to reinstall.

have you tried setting the system date and time back to with in trial period
?? my guess is their trial time security is more complicated than that, but
cant hurt to try

Contact the developer and explain, they might be helpful.

Backup your machine, hard reset it, install the program and try. When
you are done reinstall your existing setup from your backup while you
decide whether to buy. It may be inconvenient but it is your error that
caused the issue- choose a time when it will cause the least
inconvenience- a weekend maybe..

I don't expect the company will tell how there protection works, that
info could undermine there business as the same protection method will
probably apply to their other software.
