Tried to restore acer aspire now it wont boot

Half way through restore a message came up saying it had'nt worked and i have no disc to do it

Why were you restoring? Was it due to a problem? Did the computer fail? Can u give us more info? What were you restoring from? Did you have a previous back up or something that you were trying to restore from? You say that you have no disk for it? Is it a laptop or is it a desk top? Many of them have a restore partition on the hdd? Was it the original os that you were trying to restore? Because if it wasn't and you're using an unlicensed version, or something like that....no one here will help you with that.

I was restoring because every time i tried to open the home page it did nothing,just sounded like it was working then stopped.
I have an Acer Aspire one running on Linux,thats hat was on it when i bought it and just didnt change it
