Trouble figuring out if old laptops fits a new SSD

Hello,

I've been trying to figure out if the following SSD:

Fits the following laptop:
http/support.hp.com/in-en/document/c04549089

I cant find any specifications or dimension regarding the HDD the laptop currently has. From my googling im pretty sure it should fit but i dont want to go ordering items just because i "think" it should work.

So can anybody help me with this?

Yes it will fit. It is: 2.5-inch, 7 mm height so will slot in where your HDD comes out.

why not just look at other SSD drives that give you the dimensions and get one of those drives? as long as the drive is the same size as the old HDD, and the laptop takes a SATA hard drive. it shouldn't be a problem.

i understand you may just be trying to get this specific SSD because it is cheap or on sale but sometimes it better just to spend the extra cash on something you are certain on

Open the laptop, take out the HDD, use measuring tape.

The OCZ Trion 150 is a very good SSD and has the same dimensions as any other SSD (e.g. Samsung 850 Evo/Pro). In fact, most SSDs have virtually the same dimensions (within a fraction of a millimeter). The only SSDs bigger than the standard 2.5" form factor are a few Intel NVMe U.2 SSDs and some very old SSDs.

No need to open the laptop. That HP has a standard bay for 2.5inch SATA drives which can easily accommodate the OCZ since it is only 7mm tall.
