Recently moved into a new house and they left their speakers in the home theater. We have an onkyo receiver with output spots only for speaker wires. The wires that go into the speakers are put together into a thing in the wall which on the other side has a kind of plug I'm not familiar with (I've never set up a speaker system before!) with individual spots for + and - I think? Like the black and red plugs? I'm sorry I don't know much about this! There's a spot where other wires come through the wall without an adapter type deal so I think I could take the speaker wires out of the thing in the wall and just put them through directly into the onkyo? But I'm worried it won't work. Advice please?
