Trying to find this old PC game

Ok, so when I was in elementary in the 90's, there was this game on the computer where you were this guy running around a maze trying to find keys to unlock doors or gates. The catch was that you could only step on each colored tile a set number of times before it disappeared. Every time you walked across a tile it would change color, then the third time, if I remember right, it would just disappear. If anyone knows the name of this game, I would love to know.

Is it a platformer? such as the side view of Super Mario Brothers on NES? or overhead view?

Chips Challenge had it on the C64 what a machine
That game was ok but it wasent Arnie
