Not a direct solution to your problem, but there are a few workarounds for something like this.

1) Make use of cloud storage. Use Dropbox, Google Drive, or any of the other variants out there. Upload to it via your phone, download it from your desktop.

2) Use something like AirDroid. It'll set up a wireless connection between your phone and your PC. Using a browser-based interface on your desktop, you'll be able to browse through your phone's various directories and drag&drop files between the two devices (maybe not a literal drag&drop, but close enough to it).
