I've recently upgraded my ACER ASpire 9300 from Vista Home Basic to Windows 7. EVerything went fine except my tsstcorp dvd+-rw ts-l632d. The system was telling me that the drive was blocked for compatability issues.

I found on one forum a suggestion to delete the lower and upper filters. Did that and the drive looked, form control panel, like every thing was ok.

When I put a DVD into it all it does is CLICK loudly while spinning up. But it does n't read the disk.

Anyone have any ideas?

I just checked the drive and I am able to read CDs, just not DVDs. But since this is a DVD+-RW and I'd like to play DVDs and read the data DVDs i've created, I'd really like to get this working correctly.

Acer is no help, neither their site nor their tech support.

Yah my problem is finding the right Vista Driver for it. I'm not sure if the SATA driver ACER offeres for Vista is the one for this drive and what will it do to my harddrive, if anything?
