Turn asus model k53z on and won't go past the Asus screen? To put my password on my laptop to sign in. Frozen there. What to do?

I am a tad confused. Is it frozen on the put in password screen or before it? And if if is frozen on that password screen, does it freeze before or after you enter the password?
