Solved! Turn off soundbar when tv comes on

Dear Tom,
I have a Panasonic tv TX-55EZ952B, and a Panasonic soundbar SC-HTB498, and when I turn the tv on the soundbar automatically comes on. How can I get it where I turn the tv on and have tv sound rather than the soundbar ?. Many thanks and I look forward to hearing from you. Ian

It's in the TV bios settings.

Thanks Evongugg, how do I access the tv bios ?, sorry I’m a bit of a novice

Use the remote to go into settings.
Then choose sound.
Toggle to "UseTV speakers" or similar.
