Turntable volume too low

I have a dyna reflex turntable that I haven't used for 20 years. The stylus was broken so I got a new one. I attached it to the phone inputs of same receiver (Technics) that played fine 20 years ago.
I am confused as to why I get very low sound. I remember listening to records very loudly with the same turntable, receiver, and speakers. The tuner and CD work fine.

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks, Geo. :heink:

You bought a substitute stylus that is a different spec, and does not really match the original?
The capacitors inside the phono preamp input circuit are going bad from age, and should be replaced. This happens on old amplifiers. A good tech can bring it up to spec.

Thanks for your answer. I did buy a substitute stylus.
You bring up two issues: the substitute stylus and the capacitors inside the phono preamp. Which one do you think it is?
Thanks, Geo.
