TV is RCA Player is HDMI

ok I have a Symphonic TV manufactured in 2006 model # J3663865. it has RCA plugs on back. I got a Sanyo Smart Disc/DVD blu-ray player with built in wi-fi. it has HDMI plug ins.. I purchased a RCA to HDMI with converter hooked it up and all i get is blue screen..I called Sanyo tech they tell me that won't work. I need an RF Modulator.. what will work?? oh model # of Sanyo player is FWBP706F. HELP.

Well....if you are going FROM the Sanyo TO the Symphonic....you need an HDMI to RCA converter...not the other way around.

The converter has to be an active HDMI to AV converter. A passive cable will not convert digital video and audio to analog.
