Since the only output the DVD player has is composite video-analog audio that is your only choice. Can't find any info on the TV. It may have a shared component-composite video input. Check the manual.

Can u go from rca on dvd to hdmi on tv ?

Yes.
You would need an active AV to HDMI converter (a passive cable would not work) but getting a DVD with HDMI would probably cost as much. If your TV is HD get a bluray player.
