TV to Sound bar connection

Trying to connect a Toshiba TV to a Samsung Sound bar

Optical or hdmi. The manual should tell you, or just look at the outs on tv and ins on sound bar.

Thanks for the quick reply. The TV doesn't have an optical output. Will I get the 2.1 surround sound with a normal HDMI cable (without ARC) or just stereo?

That I dont know but would think it would work.
