Solved! Tv trouble

Hello,
My tv clicks on and off 10 times before I get a picture plus it has colored snow on it when it does come on. I useually turn it off and back on again to get rid of the snow. what is wrong and can i fix the problem myself without taking the tv in for a week and $500 worth of repairs?

Maybe the $500 would be better spent on a new TV? Just a thought.

As far as diagnosing or fixing the problem yourself? Unless you are a electronics engineer with the proper tools to diagnose failing internal components it will be difficult. It sounds to me as though the set needs to be serviced by a qualified repair service or replaced.
