Hi
I have read alot of these fixes for similar problems but cant work out how to get audio out of a TV if there are no outputs when just watching free to air TV or my WD LIVE's HDMI signal.
I just want to use headphones so I dont disturb people when watching both the TV and the WD ?

I have a Viano LEDTV32FHD TV . There are 3 HDMI inputs a Coax, USB, RCA and PC all Inputs. Can these switches I hear about take the normal free to air TV and HDMI from WD LIVE and give it to the TV, if so how.

Many Thanks.
Scott

Ok, I dont care about voiding any warranty. I just want a simple thing. Watch TV and WD Movies with a set of headphones.
When watching my WD Live, pluging the headphones into the AV composite in the rear of device does nothing , sound still comes through TV speakers. Its all very confusing..
So I have to
.Get a headphone Amp.
.Get a OVA TV Tuner and plug in the TV aerial to this and then this will give my normal free to air TV channels through it ?
.Does the OVA utilise the headphones too.
Basically what plugs into what ?

Thanks,
Scott

Hi Guys,
Sorry for delay but I had to test out an answer to my problem. I am passing this on to anyone else who has this issue with a TV having no audio out ports.
It was the COAX on the side of the TV.
I bought a Pro Series 30cm Digital Coaxial Cable ($4.95), a Stereo 3.5mm Mini Jack (Female) to 2x RCA (Male) Cable Adapter ($3.95),
and a DIGITAL OPTICAL COAXIAL TOSLINK SPDIF TO ANALOG L/R RCA AUDIO CONVERTER ($20).

So I just plugged in the coaxial cable to the coax port on the TV. Plugged in the other end to the DAC, then just plugged in the stereo cable adapter to the RCA out ports
on the DAC. From there I just plugged in my headphones. At first it was not working but I just went into the settings of my TV and changed the sound settings from "Auto" to "SPDIF" mode, which when turned on selected "PCM" as the default. This instantly made it all work. I turned the TV sound down and the headphones worked great, and to add to my enjoyment I could also listen to my WD TV Live. Now no more noisy neighbours or traffic interfering with my media heaven.
Thanks for all trying to help and putting me on the CAD track :)

Cheers,
Scott
