Cool now we don't even need "weapons of mass destruction", a crazy dictator, or terrorist breeding camps in order to attack anyone. Simply just blame them for cyber attack OoooooO (HAH!).
Just a simple and broad way of being able to use military force without any real proof.
They are using RIAA tactics now.
For all the fools that say this actually poses a threat: virtually all high-level priority networks in US are absulutely blocked off the internet and run on their own huge intranet. If someone would be stealinganything from those then they are physically at that terminal and it is already too late and everything has failed.

[citation][nom]LePhuronn[/nom]Do you even know what terrorism is? There is nothing violent or intimidating about hacking and cybercrime, even if forcing political change.A criminal action yes, and should be treated accordingly. But hardly terrorism.[/citation]
So you dont think shutting down a nations power grid would could have the same "terrorist" effect as, say, a bomb going off in a major city of that county? I would call both acts, not done by any official government agency, terrorism.

I think this is great, it takes the approach of preventing attacks instead of dealing with them after they happen. What country is going to hack into our metro systems or our power plant systems if they know we're going to f*ck their world up? None. You should all be thankful - because this peice of legislature is to PREVENT a shitstorm. Not start it.

I'd call the constant spam attacks we get here are bad enough.

Funny how 95% of them are coming from one tiny province ... can't say where ... but it is no secret.

Don't buy their shoes ... just don't do it ... please?

"Lets facelift bar !!"

Once I dreamt of being mauled by shoes ... and hats ... and other clothing and apparel.

I may be suffering from post traumatic spam syndrome.

[citation][nom]legacy7955[/nom]Excellent observations.ISRAEL AND CHINA are known as MAJOR centers of "hacking" or cyber terrorism. Funny how these two countries are major enemies of the US but you'll NEVER ever hear about it from our edomite controlled media in the US.[/citation]
[citation][nom]alidan[/nom]planes can be landed manualy, we have pilotssurgeries are done by humans, and with power from sockets, not over the internet with robots (normal surgeries)[/citation]
Israel is a major enemy of the US?
Israel is a major center of hacking?

Sir, are you an idiot?

Don't bother to answer the question, the answer is going to be "Yes."

Blahblahblah. So when are you going to start this civil war you Americans? Instead of arguing. I'm Canadian and eager for it. It is inevitable anyway. By the way, I'm a rebel supporter, those status quo assholes make me wanna puke, let's kill them.

OF course we know where your allegiance lies. You a dual citizen too? Don't answer that question obviously it is yes.

USS Liberty, AIPAC, ect...Israel is an ENEMY of the citizens of the USA.

Ok but what will the us Government do with:

cleanmypc.com
Crappy companies that sell stuff online and don't deliver goods and services
Companies that sell anti-virus and you still get infected.....

Reality is so sad!!!

No argument. Yes, we have pilots in aircraft. But it really does not take much to start a cascading chain of events.

And yes, surgery is done by doctors. But look at all the computer support involved in a modern OR. Again, a single event, cascading out of control, at just the wrong moment.

Enjoy the cold in Norway ... and can you take the dunce who thinks Israel is an enemy of the US with you please?

If it wasn't for the US support for Israel any reference to our early Christian heritage would have been bulldozed for pointy gold towers years ago.

That just isn't going to happen.

Strontium 90 says so ... along with the rest of the military complex of the western world.

While Christians are happy to share the birthplace of Jesus Christ they are not about to be prevented from going there, or tolerating the desecration of the various sites.

War erupting in that region would exact swift responses from 11 of the 13 largest and most prosperous countries.

Israel does not stand alone in any just endeavour.

Israel and USA were prime suspects for creating the worm that disrupted the Iran industrial machinery. So yes Israel is a major safe haven for hackers.

Act of War? Really? What about some terrorist group like Anonymous attacks?

Instead of focusing on act of war, the US should be training its own elite group of government hackers. Go on the offensive.

[citation][nom]mister facepalm[/nom]Americans sure love to declare war[/citation]

I think many Americans are just as fed up with corrupt politicians as the rest of us. They're fed up with them not listening to, and representing their needs. They're fed up with them representing the needs of private interests under the guise of socialism.

I think saying Americans love to declare war is like saying all Muslims want to fly planes into buildings, or that all British people have bad teeth, drink tea and live right next to the Queen. Having said that, I do agree that there are some seemingly dumb, loud Americans who seem to have confused patriotism with the ability to enter a country and blow the crap out of it, then booger off somewhere else to do the same. War is an industry and every so often it must declare reasons for its existence. What seems ironic to me is that there is a war being fought in the US, right on our own borders, and yet young men and women are being sent 1000's of miles away to chase away the bad guys, and paying a heavy price for it whilst the problems we face here get worse. I am not advocating a violent revolt against the government, or anarchy for anarchy's sake, but I reckon just as many if not more, people are at odds with their so-called representative's as there are people wanting to pick up a gun and fight some nameless entity overseas because it feels patriotic.
