Question Ubuntu linux type hdd

I have an old DVR
I don't remember the admin password

I connected the HDD of the DVR to the computer using a USB adapter
I installed Ubuntu and I only see Partison1 out of 3
It is an Ext4 file system

I want to try to hack the password so that I can connect to the DVR (it's not there, I forgot my password)

DVRs often have encrypted storage. You won't be able to access that data.
