Unable to charge laptop,battery and adapter working

I have a HP pavilion e015tx.But recently i am facing a problem that I am unable to charge my laptop as the current is not passing through the laptop.The battery indicator light is not glowing.i have tested the adapter and battery on one my friend's laptop.what might be the problem?I showed to lappy technician and he said that there is some problem in the motherboard and has to be rapaired.Shall I repair it or go for a new motherboard?

i have the same problem! and i tried uninstalling and others but i'm afraid it's on the inside and what's the cost between repairing and buying new motherboard ?
