Solved! Unable to connect my PC to my tv through receiver

My setup

I have a HD TV ( 2 hdmi ports)
Onkyo AV Receiver
Desktop PC Nvidia Graphics 2 hdmi ports

I have an Hdmi cord running from my graphics card to my receiver which runs to my tv. If i start my pc it will show up on the tv through the boot menu and right before it goes to the login screen on windows the tv display goes out and I go back to one display just on my monitor. If i plug directly into the tv it works fine but I would prefer to go through the receiver. Any thoughts?

Which Onkyo Receiver is it?

Which resolution and refresh rate goes to the TV?

Sounds like the resolution that you have the HDMI output set to is not compatible with either the receiver or the TV.
Change the resolution of that HDMI output. 1280x720 will work on most anything.
