Understanding graphic card requirement

I have no idea on graphics or graphics card but have to get a laptop that apparently meets 512MB GDDR RAM or more and have looked at a secondhand laptop HP envy with the following

Operating System - Windows 10
* Processor - Intel Core i7-4700MQ
* Display - 15.6" FHD Touch Screen
* Graphics - NVIDIA GeForce GT 740M
* RAM - 8 GB
* Hard Drive - 1 TB

are you able to tell me if it would meet the requirements?

Yes the 740M has more video RAM than that. You may want to list exactly why you are getting this laptop instead of just listing some video RAM requirement.
