Unexpected shutdown of Acer Aspire 5742 laptop

I have been using this laptop for more than 5 years, laptop may become overheat due to excessive usage, but never experienced unexpected shutdowns. Unexpected shutdowns weren't because of battery as when I turned on laptop, battery level was sufficient to last for at least hour.

honestly it may be time to look for a new laptop, Acer build quality back then was generally pretty shoddy compared to other manufactures, and 5+ years is a decently old laptop. But taking it apart and getting all the dust out of it is the only thing i can think of.
