My search for the unencrypted DVB services on AMC-8 as listed on
Lyngsat has come up empty, but I'm logging some other signals with
my Pansat 2500A that I've been unable to identify.
My blind search on the horizontal polarity for 4060, 4168 and 4180 is
producing nothing. I see the progress bar slowing down at various points
during the blind search, but nothing gets loggged. My dish is properly
aligned, I've got great signals from neighbouring AMC-7 and AMC-10. I'm
located in the middle of North America at the Minnesota, Ontario and
Manitoba border. Is their anybody east of me that's getting these
services, and if so, how well?
My AMC-8 blind search on the vertical polarity is producing six active
transponders all with a strong signal level and quality, but no services
are being logged, encrypted or otherwise. There's no corresponding
listing on Lyngsat for these results. Lyngsat is pretty good with
logging everything regardless of mode, video or encryption, so I'm
wondering what the deal is here. Anyone else picking up this stuff?
Here are the results of my blind search with my Pansat 2500A for AMC-8
vertical polarity. My Pansat rarely agrees with Lyngsat's transponder
frequencies, I'm usually 2 or three MHz below the published frequency
and my symbol rate is usually low by a certain amount also, so use some
leeway with the data below. For Example, my receiver reports the
Anchorage Mux on AMC-7 at 3878 with a symbol rate of 25.194 as opposed
to Lyngsat's 3880/25.200
