Thanks for the post. A great product, but I think I'll take the $24.99 and invest it in the 1600 instead of the 1500 xp.

You could take the trace tape and make your 1500 a 1700 ;)

Interesting...

BTW, somone over at HardOCP apparently got his 1800+ up to 1.942 stably. That's a pretty impressive overclock. Don't know what hardware he had.

Intersting....
and thanx for the link.

seems that some earlier XP's work and others do not...

i for one have seen pictures of TWO (2) different methods that AMD has been using to cut the bridges...
one is a long trench between the pins, and the later i think are much shorter narrower trenches.

wonder if that has anything to do with it.
hmmmmm

what tricks are AMD playing i wonder...

It states right on that page not to get them for the xp's because it really does not work.

My signature really sucks.

It did not say that earlier, they had been conducting successful tests at first, and then when a new batch of chips appeared, realized that it does not work on all.

All you need to do is connect the two gold dots, and the tranch screws that up, I wonder if drawing a long pencil trace AROUND the holes would work like this.

hope the drawing came out.

No, but I understood what you said. Regrettably, the gap is simply too small to do it easily or cleanly.
