Solved! Unsupported signal adjust your PC output

I have a DVR box with 4 cameras, the vga lead is going into a sony bravia tv. I was able to adjust everything through the tv with a mouse on the camera menu. Yesterday I inadvertently hit a higher resolution on the menu now I am getting this message on the tv. I know the resolution needs readjusted but I don't know how to do it. Do i need a screen with a higher resolution? Do I get a vga to usb to connect this into a newer screen ? please help

Unless there is a way to reset the thing to defaults, which will probably wipe all your other settings, yes you need to try another screen that has whatever resolution you set it to.

I managed to get the correct cable and used another screen as you suggested. Got it going again no problems. Thanks for taking the time to reply.
