Hello,

I have an Acer Aspire One Kav60. I bought an SSD hard drive for it. Now that I have it, I need to figure out how to get my OS to the SSD. I don't have a disk or any of those usb fancy cords. I looked online to try to figure out how to create a bootable USB with Windows 10, but have been unsuccessful. I downloaded rufus and tried that but it didn't work.

Please help. My Acer is currently running windows xp. If I could keep running xp that would be great. If i can get windows 10 on it, that would be great to. Whatever is easiest.

I just want to have a running PC with the new SSD that i bought. There is nothing really that needs to be backed up or transferred from the old hard drive.

thanks

I'd strongly suggest not using XP. MS has pulled support and it now has several critical security issues.

You'd need to buy a new copy of Windows, or use Linux - the free Win10 upgrade is only from 7 or 8.1.
