upgrade Acer Aspire one 753 CPU

i wish to upgrade Acer Aspire one 753 CPU which,s Celeron U3600., BGA12G.18W. 989rPGA. what is the fastest Intel CPU I can use please?

when i run the motherboard test it shows it to be Intel JV10-CS and 989rPGA socket, does this make any difference

WyomingKnott, not all laptop cpu's are soldered as some are socketed.

Thanks everyone for help. I again asked Acer and the guy tells me that they never solder their CPU to motherboard, and he's told me this

As per the records, I see that the following i5 processors might suit this unit.

• Intel Core i5-540M (2.53 GHz)

• Intel Core i5-430M (2.26 GHz)

However, we are not sure whether this works with this computer. As the manufacturer, Acer does not recommend to alter the hardware/software components.

Since this cause compatibility issues.

What do you make of this?

I guess the only way to find out if the cpu is soldered or not is to open up the laptop.

Thank you very much, I agree with you. Are you aware of any video showing the steps, I almost dismantled it previously but something was still attaching the the sheet inside to the motherboard
