upgrade my hp i3 processor

i want to upgrade my hp pavilion g6 1211sx processor from i3 2330m to i7 2620m
it it possible?

That is not worth the money. That i7 is so old it will perform poorly. Are you trying to play modern games like gta 5?

iam suffering from the lag during the game
according to hp manual
this is the highest processor that i can apply
if you know i7 higher that can work with it i will be happy to check

BGA 1023 is outdated. If you want a reliable new laptop check out a clevo brand laptop like sager.

No, you can't (there are a couple of 3rd gen CPUs that use the same socket, but your chipset is not compatible with them).

The i7 would give you a noticeable bump in performance, but it still uses Intel HD Graphics 3000. You're stuck with that as long as you're stuck with 2nd gen hardware.

If it's worth $180 - $200 to you, go for it. You might be able to sell your i3 afterwards for about $80 to make up some of that money, even.

i upgraded sucessfully to i7 2620m with no problem at all i get rid of the lag that was in i3
