Question upgrade my Vaio VPCCW18FG

Hi Dear
I have a sony vaio VPCCW18fg and i want to upgrade this model.
can i change cpu (intel centrino core 2 dou) with a intel Core i3,5,7?

Hi and sorry, no you can´t. It´s simply different in the contacts and can´t be upgraded to a modern CPU.

The only CPU which could fit is a T9900, but the performance boost wouldn´t be that high. And if the CPU is soldered and not socketed, it´s not possible at all. Also if the BIOS is not compatible to the T9900, it wouldn´t run as well.

Better get a SSD or a used laptop with an I5/I7 with at least 4th gen CPU.
