Upgrade to audio?

i use a music sequncer (Sonar). i get loss of audio or computer freezing on larger projects. normally people buy audio interfaces, but i don't plug any instyrument/keyboards into an audio card. all midi data is entered by mouse.

i have creative sound audigy se. i also tried asio4all drivers. i guess i need a better audio card.

any suggestions?

I have the HT Omega Striker card. The Striker and the Claro (better version) are both amazing cards and HT has good customer support. Asus just came out with a new card if I'm not mistaken too so you can check out their product page. My roommate has a Sound Blaster X-Fi but he's not too happy with it and their driver support is awful once the card is 2-3 years old.
