Upgrade worth it?

Hello,

I have the option of 2 graphics for a laptop which are:
- Nvidia Geforce GTX 765M £717
- Nvidia Geforce GTX 770M £900~

Is the upgrade worth it?

The 770M has much more bandwidth and more CUDA cores - better suited for multi-tasking and gaming

I will go with the GTX 770M!

Or is it a case of upgrading for small performance if you have lots of cash?

If you are using the laptop for anything like multi-tasking, gaming, video editing, Photoshop, Cad work,then yes the extra expense is worth it. However, if the laptop is going to be used for emails, general web surfing, and word processing, then the extra cost is not justified.

Another factor to take into consideration is the fact that getting the better graphics card means that you will not need to be looking into upgrading the graphics card should there be a application need for it. Upgrading parts especially on a laptop is not easy and in many cases is not recommended due to the increased heat that the upgraded part will produce. If you have the applications need for the better graphics and you have the money, go for it! No bragging rights come into play here.

Hopefully, based on the above information you can make the final decision.
